Unique Personalized Teacher Gifts

"Show us your life" from sweet Kelly
is featuring "teacher gifts" this week
therefore I thought I should show some
samples of "teacher gifts"
I've engraved in the past.
Shown above is a 6" x 6" Tan Engraved Tile.
This can be personalized with the teacher's name
engraved on top of the tile and the student's name
and year engraved on the bottom of the tile.
Shown above is a 12" x 12" Engraved Tile
for a very devoted teacher of 26 years.
Above is a personalized wood photo frame.
The frame holds a 4" x 6" photo and can be engraved
horizontally or vertically.
The personalized tile above features a quote
by Benjamin Franklin.
This tile is an 8" x 8" in 'stone'.
And above is yet another personalized
engraved tile for a very special Principal
who retired last year. This tile
is an 8" x 16" Porcelain tile.

I've also recently added a a personalized
acrylic ruler which would make a great
teacher's gift.

Please go here to see other fonts, colors, sizes,
and products. You will find with each size tile
there is a 'create your own' which essentially
means you can personalize your tile with any
saying, quote, Scripture, artwork and
student's name or names
and the year.

The only limit is your imagination!

Thanks Kelly for hosting and
thanks for looking.
Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Blessings always,
Kaye

Boys will be boys!

Happy New Year!
Trying to catch up, one sticky note at a time.....
after enjoying family being here
throughout the holidays!
Tripp & Ben thoroughly
enjoyed their time together during the holidays.
It was fun watching them "play" together again
after several years of not being able to be here
at the same time....
...and it is so hard to believe the once 'little boy',
my favorite nephew:), is now 6' 5"!!!
Friends made these red and green
Christmas lights for us
using 12 Gauge Shotgun Shells!

Also shown in the picture is one of
several autographed copies of
The Pioneer Woman Cooks!
She will never know how grateful us girls
are to have our very own copy
of her great cookbook!

And if you haven't purchased yours yet,
I highly encourage you to do so.
It is a GREAT cookbook with wonderful
stories and absolutely beautiful photography...
She is so very talented (understatement of 2010),
and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts
for signing these books and sending them
back so quickly!

Have a wonderfully blessed 2010,
Kaye

O Christmas Tree-Handprint Style

Memories of Christmas 2008
Last year Brandi at Brandi and Boys shared
one of her favorite pieces of Christmas 'artwork' on her blog
and when I saw it I knew I wanted to 'try' to get the
family involved to try doing this using our hand prints.
So last year on Christmas Eve the girls
brought enough canvasses
and paint so each of us could have our own
"Hand Prints Christmas Tree"
to treasure.
Ours started with the Grandparent's hand prints
at the bottom, then each of the kids and their
spouses hand prints, and last & least each of
the grandchildren's precious hand prints!
Thanks so very much Brandi for sharing this
wonderful idea on your blog.
I love our 'hand made' tree and will treasure it always.
Blessings today and every day,
Kaye

Cowboys & Indians

A sweet lady from Alabama mailed me pencil
drawings to engrave on tiles last week.
Above is a collage of some of them after they were
scanned, engraved and ready for shipment.
Hopefully she'll be very pleased with how
her drawings engraved.

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not in despair;

Southern Hospitality's Rhoda and her husband recently met my sweet Father-in-law at The Club in Birmingham for lunch. She tells a wonderful story of their time together, along with history of The Club and shares a wonderful sounding recipe here.
Thank you both for meeting him for lunch and for sharing this great picture of him. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both. Hopefully next time we're in Birmingham we can all get together!

Memories of Taviano's Visit #2

We were thrilled the Taviano's decided
to come back to Mt. Pleasant!
So.......we had to add 'back' to the
welcome sign!
Segway Lessons 101, with Maddie's help of course!
Gabe on 2 wheels! You Go Gabe!
Mary Katherine with The Taviano's before they left
for Memphis....
....and the sign left by them upstairs in the room they stayed in!
Very sweet of them to say good-bye this way. :( sniff-sniff

We look forward to reading more stories from their trip and
seeing some of the 3,000+ photos they took.
WOW, that is a lot of pictures.

Please visit here, here & here to read more
about their 2009 Spring Break trip
and also about the zoos
they've visited in the past several months
and more currently,
the zoos they've visited during the past 2 weeks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visits with them while on their
way to zoos in South Texas and their visit coming back
through here on their way to visit the Memphis Zoo.

As I said in the first post I wrote about their stay here with us,
"We'll never be the same", p.e.r.i.o.d.

They are such a wonderful, uplifting,
beautiful, positive, Jesus loving family!
If they are on your family's route for their next zoo trip,
I promise you would be very blessed to meet them and
to host them in your home.

We miss you and love you and
appreciate your prayers more than you know,
Kaye

Guess who's coming....back!

Yes! They'll be back tonight!
So I took this out of one of Marla's books....
And engraved some of these for her!

Couldn't think of anything more appropriate for
a wonderful author.

From reading both Marla and Gabe's blogs the past few days,
I think they've enjoyed this trip to Texas and they found out
Texas is a BIG STATE!

Praying for safe travels throughout the remainder of their journey.
I hope to post more stories and pictures from their stay here later!

Blessings always,
Kaye
