"Spring Break" Memories
My brother-in-law insisted there was a duck
I needed to photograph a couple of
days ago. I am very thankful he convinced me to go
down to the lake to witness this beautiful sight
and I was grateful to have the
opportunity to take these pictures.

We enjoyed a delicious fish fry during "Spring Break" week
compliments of my sweet brother-in-law.
The meal, complete with all of the
trimmings that only Mississippians can
prepare to perfection. (Yes I'm biased-forgive me please)!
Thanks David for the great meal and thanks
Trace & Zachary for helping him catch these delicious beauties.
We enjoyed a wonderful week with family and friends.
Hope everyone had a great week as well.
Blessings today and always,
Kaye
Prayer request:
Please join me in prayer for Angie at "Keep Believing".
She lost her husband this week after a 12 year battle with Cancer.
They have two precious sons Grant & Gavin.
Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sissy is Coming!
This 'sister' tile was engraved last week for Miss Ora
who wanted something very special for her sister-in-law,
whom she said was 'just like a sister to her'.
And since I know the importance of 'sisters',
whether they are given to us by birth, or by chance,
they are people we are very thankful to have in our lives.
I am very excited that my real life sister, a.k.a. "sissy' is on
her way from Mississippi now.
Thankful for Spring Break to give her a few days off
and thankful her husband could take a few days off
to be here to take the grandkids fishing!
And looking forward to one of David's divine
fish-fry's while they are here!
Blessings today and every day,
Kaye

The wood frame photographed above holds a
4" x 6" picture and can
be engraved vertically or horizontally.
Jesus did it; the Bible tells it.
I believe it; that settles it.

Thank You, Lord, that even a child can understand it.

All things blue
"Does God always give us what we ask in prayer?"
Sometimes His answer is no. He knows what we do not know.
He knows everything and
His negative answer is part of His plan for our lives.
My life is but a weaving, between my God and me.
I do not choose the colors, He worketh steadily,
Oftimes He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper, and I the underside.
Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly,
Will God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful in the skillful Weaver's hand,
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
"I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right,
and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me."
Psalm 119:75
Lord, it is hard to accept a negative answer,
but keep us humble enough,
patient enough, faithful enough to trust.
Thank You that You always answer our prayers in
Your way with a yes or a no.
How good it is to know that You never make a mistake.

How many are your works, O Lord!
In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures...
These all look at you and give them their food at the proper time...
May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in His works.

"A" Who?
Yesterday was a big day in the life of a little 5 year old boy because it was time for the highly anticipated "T-Ball Draft"! Zachary is chomping at the bit and ready for his first season to 'play ball'.
I asked him before his Dad left for the draft which team he'd prefer to be on. He really couldn't make up his mind so Brandon and I tried to help with some Major League team names thinking he'd easily pick one.
I suggested the Orioles, and told him Cal Ripken is probably the best baseball player EVER (in my opinion). He said, "No, he didn't want to be an "Oreo"!
Zachary's Dad then asked him, "Who's your favorite player?" Zachary responded, "Peyton Manning".
So Brandon and I quickly decided it was time to differentiate for Zachary we were discussing two different sports, etc........His eyes lit up...he got it....so his Dad said, "Who has always been your favorite baseball player?"
Zachary thought for a minute, then exploded by saying, "A-ROID". These kids.....they do crack me up!

Sweet & Spicey
A sweet friend of mine, and one of my favorite 'shop owner' customers Gaylene, who owns "Sweet & Spicey" in Hobbs, New Mexico, called last week to place an order.
While visiting with her I asked how businesses were doing in her part of the country. She responded by saying things seemed slow for all businesses but she tried to encourage her customers when they were in her store. She said, "In fact I need a tile particularly for my store". I told her alright and asked what exactly she wanted to display there. The tile above was the saying she wanted, hoping this would give all of her customers a sense of security, even in these tough economic times.
If you're ever in her area, please go by and say 'hi'! Gaylene is an exceptionally wonderful lady who I have grown to love since we've known each other.

It is a wonderful thing to be alive!
If a person lives to be very old,
let him rejoice in every day of life,
but let him also remember that eternity is far longer
and that everything
down here is futile in comparison.
