Hope at Home
"Hope" as our dove has been affectionately named has a new home
and seems very happy with more space.
And without question, Hope is the most beautiful pet we've ever owned.
Thanks again Rhonda for your gift of Hope.
"O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
In the secret places of the cliff,
Let me see your face,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your face is lovely."

HE is in control of Random.org too!
Sweet, very talented and witty Melanie, aka Big Mama hosted a give-a-way
of 'winners choice' from my website last week.
The response blew us both away and we were very
thankful for each and every one who commented in hopes
of being 'the winner'.
There were some mishaps during the
give-a-way which led Melanie to post two separate posts so everyone
who wanted to enter to win could do just that.
Random.org was the source Melanie used to choose the winner
once the give-a-way ended. Then Melanie posted the "Winner".
Soon after that Melanie sent me the winner's email address
and asked that I contact "Michelle".
When I received a response from Michelle I immediately forwarded her message
to Melanie, knowing she'd be as touched by Michelle's response as I was.
Melanie & I both agreed after reading the email from the winner,
"now we know who is in complete control of random.org!"
An excerpt from Michelle's email read as follows;
"...I am thrilled about winning! When I saw that Big Mama was having
the giveaway I immediately posted my comment with my favorite piece
in mind! The really cool thing is that on the day that I was chosen,
we had just signed a purchase agreement on a new home!
We have waited a year and a half for a new home after a tough move.
It's been a long, tiring journey and I feel as if the Lord confirmed
this decision with a stone of remembrance!..."
Congratulations once again Michelle and the entire Cody family!
Wondrous are His works....AMEN
And we have such trust through Christ toward God.
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves
to think of anything as being from ourselves,
but our sufficiency is from God.
2 Corinthians 3:4-5 NKJV
Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.
Thanks to Melanie (Big Mama)
for hosting the give-a-way and congratulations to The Cody Family
on the purchase of your new home and for winning!

Happy Birthday!
Sorry this is a day late, but wanted to wish my Father-in-law a very Happy Birthday! He turned 99 yesterday and sounded like a 20 year old when we spoke to him on the phone.
Hoping to celebrate with him and all of the family next year for his BIG 100th Birthday!
We are so very fortunate to still have him and Jack's Mom in our lives. They are incredible individuals and we wish we could see them more often.
Here's to wishing him a great year!
The picture was taken in November 2007, when they visited for several days. This is of our 4 Jack's; Jack Sr., Jack Jr., Jack III & Jack IV.
To him who is able to keep you from falling
and to present you before his glorious presence
without fault and with great joy.
Jude 1:24 NIV

Intoducing Our New Animal ____________
This beautiful pure white dove was given to us today by Rhonda and I will be shopping tomorrow for a larger birdcage for he/she.
He/she hasn't been named yet but I'm leaning towards "Peace" right now.
This is a very meaningful and significant gift and we are very thankful. We've never had any type bird for a pet and never dreamed of having one so beautiful and graceful.
In the Lord I put my trust;
How can you say to my soul,
"Flee as a bird to your mountain."?
Psalm 11:1 NKJV

HE continues to restore...
With the help of one of HIS angels; a wonderful, talented and gracious photographer, Camille Ackerman!
Several months ago a dear family friend sent me an old photograph of my sister and I, along with one of our cousins. While I was thrilled to receive this picture I noticed in the background of the photo 2 portraits I never thought I'd see again, since they were hanging in Mary Katherine's room when we lost everything in a fire.
About the same time I received this photo, I read about Camille on someone's blog (yes I truly believe God sent me there for this reason) and her ability to 'restore' photographs, so I emailed her, told her the situation, and asked if she thought there was any way possible to extract the two pictures hanging on the wall in the background, and make pictures from them.
She asked me to scan and email the picture to her and she'd do as best she could for us to have these treasured pictures. That didn't work so she asked if I'd mail her the picture. Of course I did, after scanning the original to have a copy of it just in case it were lost in the mail, since we don't take many chances with photos around here anymore!
Today I received a package in the mail and didn't recognize the return address, so I was 'BLOWN AWAY' to open the box and see what she sent!
Thank you Camille once again for your time, your hard work and your help in restoring these pictures. I have literally had my 'socks blown off' today and am more thankful than anyone will ever know.
I have already made copies for the sweet lady who first shared the picture with me, and of course for my brother and sister, so we'll all have copies of the ONLY picture EVER taken while my sister and I wore a tutu:) And....you just gotta love the hairdo's!
Camille's information is as follows, as I would highly recommend her services:

Sincere thanks Camille,

& More Christmas Memories To Share
We missed seeing my brother Korky, his wife Stephanie and their daughter Anna Kathryn during the holidays but they were sweet to share this great picture of Anna Kathryn with Santa.
Sure hope we can be together during the 2009 holidays! We missed all of you very much.
I wanted to give something to friends and local businesses we often buy for that would 'keep on giving' and I thought Amaryllis bulbs would 'keep on giving' beauty long after they bloomed. These can be planted outdoors and if property cared for will bloom each year.
Mary Katherine came up with a 'saying' and printed cards to decoratively tie on to each of the bulb kits for us. She was also kind enough to be "Miss Santa" and deliver these too.
Thanks Mary Katherine for all of your help!
Blessings to all,
Kaye

More fun Christmas Memories
Better late than never I guess!
Wanted to share some pictures of Ali & Jack IV, along with their parents, Tripp & Holly.
As you can tell we took good care of Santa with some famous Miss Crumpler Cookies!
The kids were bathed, dressed for bed and highly anticipating Santa's arrival when I took the Christmas P. J. pictures!
Jack IV also had some 'potty training' going on during the holidays but not so much so that he couldn't be on the computer at the same time.
He was 'thrilled beyond words' that his "Aunt" Crystal found him a "Johnny Cash T-Shirt" at Canton Trade Days! He L.O.V.E.S. listening to "Ring of Fire" time, after time, after time, etc.......everyone who witnesses this is amazed that he finds it on his Dad's computer by himself and plays, and re-plays, and......well...hopefully you get the picture! Needless to say we all have this famous 'tune' memorized since this has been a long time favorite for this 3 year old! He has listened to it for 1 year+++ and is still loving it to this day. They have scratched and had to purchase this cd several times and I don't think his love for this song will be fading anytime soon:(
Blessings always,
Kaye

Wonderful Frame With Cute Moms & Grandkids!
Trace & Katie gave me this beautiful frame for Christmas but we (I) failed to get a picture of the 6 grands "together" during the holidays.
I reverted back to pictures taken in the Summer of '08 and printed this one in black & white, so the picture I framed is of 2 daughters, 1 DIL & 6 precious grands.

This great 'thumbs up' photo of Coach MacKay was taken by a friend from Dallas last season when OU went to play at Baylor.
With great anticipation we're hoping for a successful 2009 season for the OU Lady Sooners Softball Team.

Hope they make a winning round trip to various venues and end up at the WCWS in Oklahoma City in May! Good luck Lady Sooners!

A very special birthday
Family & Friends alike absolutely blew me away by blessing me more than words can say on my birthday. Zachary and Trent brought their birthday cake creation, a delicious and beautiful strawberry cake, complete with lots of sprinkles. The girls were kind in posting birthday sentiments as well as blogger friends leaving very special comments.
As you can see in the pictures, candles were lit and blown out several times by the grandchildren and each time they'd add more candles. What are they thinking....could it be, "KK is aging as we celebrate?"
One highlight, which I'll have to photograph and share later was a basket for my Pee-Wee Herman bicycle. Mary Katherine bought this thinking perhaps I could carry one of the grand kids in the basket, but after reading the warnings we decided this wouldn't be a good idea since it says 'do not exceed 4 pounds':(.
Other highlights included Tab dishes, great cheesecake mixes (yum), Christy brought another docking station for my new Ipod, a great OU T-shirt, some cute and comfy "Reef" house shoes, a gift card for I-Tunes (and a lot of music downloading on the Ipod to boot, courtesy of MK), Paula & Wyatt brought a Claire Burke Original Oil Diffuser, (another favorite of all time) and some Glagla Shoes which are GREAT. These shoes are very lightweight water shoes that are so comfortable and were sent by my sweet brother and his family.
I also received a beautiful Camellia Tree, brought from Magnolia, Arkansas by my sister and brother-in-law. My sister saw the nursery and immediately turned around to go back (yes, she spilled David's coffee EVERYWHERE), something he is still disturbed about:( He does like to keep his truck clean, so hopefully he'll be forgiving for this break-neck-slam on brakes-turnaround.
But, they met a very special lady there and she sent me all colors of tulip bulbs. Tulips are one of my favorites so I cannot wait to watch these bloom this Spring.
Please say a prayer for this sweet lady, Miss Doris. She recently lost her baby sister, so when my sister told her why she stopped there, to buy something special for my birthday, Miss Doris fell to pieces. We have decided, without doubt, this is a "God Story" since the timing of their visit was 'perfect'. She needed some caring customers that afternoon and God told my sister to turn around and go back. Little did she know....why HE led her there, but now we know.
I have spoken to Miss Doris several times on the phone since that day and we made up a 'care package' for her that my sister delivered on her way back through Magnolia when they were traveling back home to Mississippi. We have a new precious friend in Miss Doris and we are very thankful for her and pray we can help her through this very difficult time.
Thanks for a wonderfully blessed day, full of loved ones visiting, calling and sending sweet cards. I have so much to be thankful for and pray I never take anything for granted.
Please forgive me if there is something I've neglected to mention....I'm officially OLD and have developed an extreme case of 'old-timers'.
Have a wonderfully blessed day and weekend,
Kaye
